I have been researching multiple different games such as Breakout, Pacman, Space invaders and Mario. The thought of Mario re-skined with Space invaders came to me whilst seeing an image of Megaman. My idea is: Having a re-skined Mario with the colour scheme of Megaman in a Space invaders like setting. The aliens will be re-coloured in the colour scheme of a mushroom from the game Mario. Instead of bullets "MegaMario" will be shooting coins. 
The character will share the same mechanics as Space Invaders, only moving side to side whilst constantly shooting. Still sharing the same mechanics, the points system will stay the same, for example: 10 (bottom two rows), 20 (middle and second from top rows), or 30 points (top row).The music that will be featured will be the soundtrack from Mario world 1-1 but in a lowered pitch.
